SIP origination and termination

DID phone numbers

Local Number Portability

Origination DID coverage in over 95% of US ratecenters

Free testing credit

Configuration assistance

Hosted PBX

We tried Talkfly out using a BYOD PAP2NA which the technical staff at Talkfly helped us configure. We were provided some testing credit, a features and voicemail explanation sheet, and a login to a customer interface. The interface is somewhat lacking in features, but from what we understand, there are many new self-service features coming soon.

The call quality was consistent and good, we had no issues with DTMF, and have not experienced any downtime in the 6 months we have used the service. They explained that they have several wholly-owned points of presence that all have redundant fiber optic connectivity and high-availability switching clusters for maximum uptime.

We really think that these guys have the potential to do big things, they are now in the process of offering TDM over IP in certain markets soon. Basically they purchase or lease a facility in the LATA of the area they want to deploy TDM in and then have digital lines to the switch at that facility. While you may connect to them via an IP connection, the calls being originated and terminated will be over copper or fiber. An interesting way of switching it up in our opinion.

A signup link can be found at http://www.talkfly.net and once you signup, you will more than likely get an email or call from their staff welcoming you to teh service and seeing if they can assist you in getting started which was a nice thing for us.

We will continue to follow them and report back soon!

Vonage hate groups are rolling out across the internet. As more and more old customers of Vonage share their stories in refuge to overcome vonage raping their wallets while providing crappy services capitalize on the VoIp market with advertising.

After much dismay from reading through many review and hate sites like www.wehatevonage.com, voipreview.org i started to understand that vonage is pretty much a worthless auto pilot money taking, poor VoIP service providing cash cow that could care less about its customers.

First off, Vonages customer service is lacking in many areas. If you call them it seems like they hired people who are just learning English or 18 year old pot smokers who didn’t make it to college looking for a pay check to get their next fix.

Second of all, their phone quality sucks and they will sell their service to anyone who is willing to give it a try with out explaining to them clearly on their page that you would be better off talking through a can on a string in order to get the service most people think that they are paying for.

Their features on the other hand are over emphasized but are available with any other VoIP company you can sign up with although their call reps are so under educated they typically seem to be brainwashed by the big Vonage into thinking no other VoIP companies exist.

To say the least there is a sucker born every second, and people are continuing to sign up with Vonage because their advertisements are plastered across the internet like a bunch of New York gang members waiting for their next victim.

Don’t believe me then, holy shit! You need to open your eyes and atleast read these Vonage holocaust victims reviews

When looking at providers for VoIP service you will notice many eye catching price plans that can make you want to join them such as unlimited free minutes for a set price. However these plans may hurt your business’s phone budget costing you more money then you would normally pay if you where to go with a rate plan. You may be asking why? Well the reason is quite simple and it comes down to your VoIP providers business strategy to make more money off of you.

If you are trying to get the most money for your business’s budget the best way to investigate this is by looking over the past years phone bills and averaging your monthly minutes. Then look at the rate plans offered by VoIP companies like Convertec Solutions and multiple the per minute rates by the average amount of minutes used each month with your business phone provider. Then take the unlimited plan and divide it by how many minutes you use. Most likely after you have done the math you will see that you will pay less on a rate plan then you would buying a unlimited package.

Most of the time if you do the math you will notice that sometimes a unlimited plan that may look enticing will cost your business a lot more then your normal rate plans with other VoIP providers. So i would suggest to be a smart shopper and do your math because it will pay off in the end to make your business a more efficient financial model by not wasting your money making jump decisions.

VoIP Termination Services have become so widespread if your in a unregulated country that does not block SIP ports, you can take advantage of VoIP termination to make phone calls any where in the world using your Internet connection at your business or home. VoIP Termination rates vary from company to company and depend if you are buying just minutes or a unlimited frat rate.

Some things to consider before purchasing a VoIP termination service are:

-Your phone calls will only sound as good as you Internet connection. You should have at least a cable, DSL or a T1 depending on how many phones you plan on using for your business. High latency connections such as satellite are not acceptable, as it creates too much delay.

-Make sure that your country does not regulate or block SIP ports.

It is funny to think everyone who had a phone a few years ago had to sell out to a monopoly or go with out any phone service. Many people do not even realize that VoIP termination services have turned the telecommunications industry into a more competitive market place where new VoIP phone companies are coming up all over to compete with the big dogs in the telecommunication industry.

So If your looking for a good way to save money when making international or local phone calls from your business or at home and become part of a revolution then I would definitely shop for VoIP Termination Services.

With the processing power doubling or tripling every year on hand held devices, developers have already started developing programs to be used on Wi-Fi networks with the existing phones like the iPhone. An example of this being done can be found at free.fr. However many developers are selling their programs or making you sign up for a mailing list in order to receive them.

My question is how long will it be until VoIP applications start coming free with your cellphone so you don’t have to burn your wireless minutes at home using your cellphone? I can’t imagine any wireless provider just putting VoIP apps on your phone that will take away from their bottom line. They want your teen daughter blowing away minutes on your family plan talking about what her and little Jimmy did over the weekend, or texting until her thumbs look like they are broken in 3 different places.

So for now, install fring on your jailbroken iPhone, and watch at&t’s revenue dry up like a salty slug in summer.

It seems like it was just yesterday that the VoIP bug started spreading rampantly through every local business and call center in the industry. As the saying goes”If it is not broken do not fix it!”, I like to say “If you can save money why not?” after all gas isn’t getting any cheaper. However among the many happy business owners out there reaping VoIP’s benefits there are a few people who just refuse to make the switch to Voice over IP Technology. These business owners have continued to let the traditional phone companies rape their bottom lines with outlandish bills and antiquated technology; while the feature rich VoIP customer stands across the street getting phone service for less than half the cost.

Besides cost saving, you are getting fancy features that they don’t offer. You probably don’t know it, but your traditional phone companies’ systems lack many features provided free with VoIP services. These features are endless and range from: voice mails being delivered straight to your email in .wav files and the famous ‘find-me-follow-me’ feature. This feature enables incoming calls to your phone system to ring more than one phone at a time, say your desk phone, and your cell phone while you are out and expecting that sales call. To push the expectations even more the features are endless because VoIP is based on a software platform that can be programmed to make custom changes to provide the features your business needs.

These features are pretty amazing with VoIP technology that most people can not live without them once they have started to use them. However when you hear more features you may tend to see the dollar sign turning higher digits on your bank accounts balance, but wait a second. About 95% of these features come standard with your VoIP phone service at no extra charge. You may be wondering what the catch is, right? Well rest assured there is no catch with this service. In all actuality having a VoIP service for your small or large business will normally cut your phone bill in half.

So the next time you see the news about gas prices rising you might want to consider catching the VoIP Virus.

Some of these features where unimaginable with older phone systems keeping most telephone systems in the stone age. To make things even better these features are normally provided at no extra charge from voice over data networks.

Some of these features can come in very handy on and off the job site such as the find me follow me feature. This feature will allow you to have your cellphone receive a call forwarded from their work after a specified number of rings. So for one second just imagine that your on the back 9 holes of your favorite golf course and the sales lead your have been waiting to call you back finally gives you that golden ring. Now that is what i call a VoIP feature that puts money in the bank.

There is one moment or another where every business owner wishes they had the find me follow me feature, just trust me!

pbxnsip is a Windows based VoIP solution. It runs on Windows. The pbxnsip PBX is available for various platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Linux and NetBSD. You can choose what hardware and software platform is most efficient for you.

Windows-based operating systems: The PBX runs on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server and Windows Vista versions. pbxnsip also runs on Windows Server 2003 Web Edition. If you run the PBX on Windows Workstation editions, you might have limited number of TCP connections and calls.

Linux-based operating systems: pbxnsip supports RedHat ES4, SuSE 10 and Debian 3.1 for Intel-based platforms (Pentium-compatible). All images are compiled for the 32-bit memory layout, but also run on 64-bit machines.

You can download and install it from an .exe file right on Windows XP. Either way you go, you configure it through a web-browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. You do not need to use Linux like other PBX VoIP solutions require, however, you may install the Linux version on a Linux box if you wish.

The pbxnsip PBX has all the common features that you expect from other competing distributions. It has hunt groups, auto attendants, ITSP support, mailboxes, and conferencing. It also supports paging, call recording, and call agent groups.

pbxnsip is not open-source like other competing software based PBX’s. It is free to download and try, but you must buy a liscence n order to continue using it.

From linksys.com:

Inexpensive, easy to install and simple-to-use, the SPA2102 connects a standard telephone or fax machine to IP-based data networks. VoIP service providers can offer residential and business users traditional and enhanced communication services via the customer’s broadband connection to the Internet.

The SPA2102 features two POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) ports to connect existing analog phones, fax machines, or to a PBX system. The SPA2102 includes 2 100BaseT RJ45 Ethernet interfaces (LAN-WAN) to connect to a home or office LAN, as well as an Ethernet connection to a broadband modem or router (WAN). Each SPA2102 service line can be independently configured via software controlled by the service provider or the end user.

With the SPA2102, users are able to protect and extend their investment in telephones, conference speakerphones, and fax machines as well as control their migration to IP with an extremely affordable, reliable solution.

Installed by the end user and remotely provisioned, configured and maintained by the service provider, each SPA2102 converts voice traffic into data packets for transmission over an IP network. Compact in design, the SPA2102 can be used in consumer and business VoIP service offerings including a full-featured IP Centrex environment. The SPA2102 uses international standards for voice and data networking for reliable voice and fax operation.

Highlights:

Toll Quality Voice and Carrier-Grade Feature Support
The SPA2102 delivers clear, high-quality voice communication in diverse network conditions. Excellent voice quality in a demanding IP network is consistently achieved via our advanced implementation of standard voice coding algorithms. The SPA2102 is interoperable with common telephony equipment like voicemail, Fax, PBX, and interactive voice response systems.

Large-Scale Deployment and Management
The SPA2102 offers all the key features and capabilities with which service providers can provide customized services to their subscribers. The SPA2102 can be remotely provisioned and supports dynamic, in-service software upgrades. A secure profile upload saves providers the time, expense and hassle of managing and pre-configuring or re-configuring customer premise equipment (CPE) for deployment.
